Where do the classes take place?

My Spanish classes in Norwich take place at The George Hotel, 10 Arlington Lane, Newmarket Road, Norwich, NR2 2DA

We have our own private room, giving us a relaxed space to learn, chat and practise Spanish together.

Fancy a coffee or a drink while you learn?
The bar is right there, so you can grab something before class or bring it in with you.

Hola, I’m Sam

I’m a qualified Spanish teacher and the person behind SJ Languages.

I grew up in Tenerife and went to Spanish school there, then studied Spanish at university, graduating with a First and a distinction in spoken Spanish.

I can teach you the everyday language people actually use and explain how Spanish works in a way that makes sense to British learners.

I want you to enjoy coming to class, understand what you’re learning and feel more confident actually using your Spanish.

Questions about Norwich Spanish classes

Complete Beginners is for you if you’re new to Spanish, have only picked up a few words from holidays or apps, or want to start again with a complete refresher.

Next Steps follows on from my Beginners course. It’s also suitable if you already know some of the basics and want to build on them. We build on those foundations so you can handle a wider range of everyday situations, say more about yourself and start using Spanish more independently.

Spanish Club is for learners with more experience who want to keep learning and using their Spanish in an ongoing class.

If you’re not sure, send me a message and tell me what you’ve done before. I’ll help you work out where to start.

I know that holidays and other plans happen. If you miss a class, I’ll share the lesson resources with you, along with audio or voice notes where helpful, so you can see what we covered and catch up.


Beginners and Next Steps are booked as a complete course block. You can pay the full course fee upfront or spread the total over monthly payments.

Spanish Club works differently, with a rolling monthly or quarterly subscription.

You’ll find the exact prices and payment options on each class page.

My Norwich classes have a maximum of 12 people.

You don’t need to bring anything. I’ll provide all the lesson resources and everything you need in class.

Some learners like to bring a folder to keep their resources together, but that’s completely up to you.

Yes. The George Hotel has free on-site parking. Its website currently lists 43 parking spaces, although spaces are naturally subject to availability. The George Hotel
