Hi, I’m Sam!, the founder of SJ Languages.
I’m a qualified Spanish teacher, GCSE examiner, and Best Online Tutor 2024 Finalist, with a First-Class Honours degree in Spanish and French.
I have years of experience helping students develop exam techniques, expand vocabulary, and build confidence.
I know exactly how GCSE exam papers are designed and how to ensure students can tackle any topic with confidence.

Yes! You can download the PDFs, posters, and other resources to keep for easy reference. The video lessons are not downloadable.
The live lessons are held online via Zoom. Each 1-hour class is interactive, allowing students to ask questions and join discussions. Sessions begin with retrieval practice questions to assess prior learning, followed by teaching and interactive activities. Students can participate using their microphones, the chat area, or an interactive whiteboard. Sam, the tutor, provides instant feedback, and interactive quizzes reinforce learning. A workbook or worksheets may be provided for some lessons, but these are optional, allowing students to work in the way that suits them best. All sessions are recorded and available for later review.
No, they don’t have to. I encourage students to use their mics to talk to me, but they can also use the chat function. I run my Zoom classes in focus mode, so if they do have their camera on, only I, the tutor, can see them. Having the camera on helps me check in with them and enhances engagement.
No problem! All lessons are recorded and available for catch-up so students can review them anytime.
Your investment is £25 per week. This half term June-July is 6 weeks long.
Payment options include payment in full for the 6 weeks or you may choose to split the investment across 2 months.
The live sessions take place every Thursday during term time from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
The June - July block starts on Thursday 5th of June 2025.
Yes! Your subscription renews every month, and you can cancel at any time. There is no minimum contract. If you cancel, your child can attend lessons until the end of the month after the last payment was made. No refunds are available due to the nature of the digital content provided.
If you have paid in full then due to the nature of the online course it is non refundable but you will continue to have access to all the digital materials and lesson recordings.
