A relaxed course for adults who are new to Spanish, have picked up a few words from holidays or apps, or want to start again with a complete refresher.
We’ll start with the useful basics and get you speaking Spanish from the first lesson.

Is this course right for me?
This Beginners Spanish course is for you if you’re completely new to Spanish, have picked up a few words from holidays or apps such as Duolingo, or learned some Spanish a long time ago and would like to start again.
You don’t need any previous knowledge.
We’ll start from the beginning and build everything step by step.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Pronounce and read Spanish more confidently
- Greet people, introduce yourself and exchange simple personal information
- Use numbers, prices, dates and times
- Order food and drinks in cafés and restaurants
- Express simple likes and dislikes
- Manage a basic shopping conversation and ask about prices
- Build short conversations using the Spanish you’ve learned
What are the lessons actually like?
You’ll start using Spanish from your first lesson through games, activities and simple conversations based on real-life situations.
I’ll explain everything clearly, and we’ll keep coming back to the language so you have plenty of chances to practise and it starts to stick.
The classes are relaxed and sociable, with lots of encouragement and time to ask questions.
What’s included?
All your worksheets and learning resources are included, so you don’t need to buy a textbook or bring anything with you.
If you miss a class, I’ll send you the lesson resources and any supporting audio or voice notes to help you catch up.

Where are the classes held?
My Wednesday evening face-to-face classes take place at Old School Coffee, 33a Newgate, Beccles, NR34 9QB.
We have private use of the café for our Spanish sessions, with a friendly member of staff on hand if you'd like to grab a drink.
Old School Coffee serves up delicious coffees, plus a great range of hot and cold drinks—perfect to enjoy while you learn!

No. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to practise, but you won’t be singled out or expected to speak before you feel ready. The classes are relaxed and supportive.
Yes. This course is designed for complete beginners, as well as anyone who'd like a fresh start. Whether you've never learned Spanish before or you've picked up a few words on holiday or through apps like Duolingo, we'll build your confidence step by step and help you develop strong foundations from the very beginning.
I’ll send you the lesson resources and any supporting audio or voice notes so you can catch up before the following week.
Nothing at all. I’ll provide all the lesson resources and anything else you need in class. Some learners bring a folder to keep everything together, but that’s completely optional.
You might just want to bring some change or a card if you’d like to buy a drink during the session.
You can enjoy a lovely coffee or cold drink before or during class at Old School Coffee. If you're coming to an evening class, you can also treat yourself to a glass of wine or beer if you fancy from Printing Press.
Course bookings are non-refundable, so please check that you can attend the dates before booking. Paying in instalments spreads the cost of the full course and isn’t a pay-as-you-go option. If you’re unsure whether the course is right for you, please get in touch before booking and I’ll be happy to help.
Yes. The course costs £198 and you can pay in full, in two monthly payments of £99 or in three monthly payments of £66.
Yes! There is street parking in town and several pay-and-display car parks, many of which are free after 6pm (though some may still require registration). Tesco is also opposite the café but please be mindful of any parking rules or restrictions.
